art the Z way
yet another fab piece from Z. His daycare was going to throw it out but I managed to nab it to put on the wall of his room. It is about 1m by 1.3ms, so quite large, they actually traced around him.

child-like art

Z decided he would decorate the floor the other day with dye crayons! luckily, 30 mins of scrubbing with carpet cleaner got it off, but I wish now I had taken a photo of it.
He did this decoration on the couch the other day - I am much happier with this one and it is still there. He has so neatly arranged these star stickers, each half the size of a 5 cent piece.
I was amazed by how neat it is, truly beautiful work for a 2 year old!
and this is his latest painting. He has such a great style. No matter how much he misses the colours (which usually makes mud), or he uses colours like red, he still manages to keep some softness and dreaminess to his work.
A real impressionist in my opinion.

Z does the APT
My favourite exhibition of all times is back, the Asia Pacific Triennial and this time I got to take Zac. He completely loved it. He especially loved the foam little people. Here are the ones we made. The purple one on the right is a self-portrait of me. I think the blue one on the left with a 90 degree angle head is Zac - smiley and jolly! I especially love how he put their heads on angles, give a more real look. He such a little artists! And he sat really entranced by the Talvin Singh interactive exhibit. But Talvin Singh, what can I say, he is pure genius. Glad Z loved it. I knew listening to all that trance and doof pregnant would pay off.
And here he is climbing the futon mountain. This one made me sad I was too big for it :(. It took some work to get Z to come have lunch, he wanted to stay climbing the mountain.

Zac joins in
Zac wants in on the action with making tees.
He keeps pointing at my shirts and saying "painting, painting" so I bought him so funky crayons and this is his first effort... I'm so proud.
He is currently working on a sheet for his cot (or daycare). As it is so big I might dye the background a pale yellow after he is finished drawing.
